Maddux Creative is one of interior design’s most exciting firms. Led by Scott Maddux and Jo Le Gleud, the Anglo-American duo create playful, sophisticated spaces infused with personality. They have chosen here some of their favourite pieces that would look fabulous in any of their projects, like the stunning 1970s Milo Baughman sofa – “perfect for large, open-plan sitting rooms,” says Scott Maddux. “Round sofas are great for improving the flow of space in a room.” The fibre art by Jane Knight is “an unexpected way to add softness and texture to a room,” and the Guillerme et Chambron armchair “can work beautifully in the country or the city.” The pair note that the Vignelli coffee table is “so light, yet so monumental at the same time,” and of the extraordinary Sottsass cabinet, Maddux says: “I love the playful spirit of his work, and also the lightness; these pieces are graphic but surprisingly understated.”
